When The Lightbulb Exploded

What inspired me to this, travel I mean? Why did I decide to give up a relationship, a flat, a job and move back home to my mom’s house. Move to a city I hadn’t lived in since high school, using the excuse (for other people, not myself) of ‘further education’ but with the knowledge I would never stick it out and that I would leave before the first assignment was due.

It was a long time coming, I’ll tell you that.

I have no idea when the lightbulb exploded in my brain and the decision happened but one day, over a tearful phone call, it all felt right. I realised if I wanted my life to turn out the way my ‘dream-life’ was living, a change was needed. Sacrifices that terrified me had to be made.

“We just have to have the courage to turn against our habitual lifestyle and engage in unconventional living…. It is simply waiting out there for you to grasp it, and all you have to do is reach for it”

I want to see the world. Not just on a two-week vacation but on a timeless limit. (Not to say that vacations aren’t great – i have been to some amazing places with vacation time and sabbatical)

I want to hear my inner Six Year Old self scream with happiness – Twenty three-year old me finally vowed to ‘see the whole world and everything in it’.

It is a possible dream (YIPPEEE). This was something I just couldn’t have done unless i cut ties, made the decision and followed through.

“The only person you are fighting is yourself and your stubbornness to engage in new circumstances”.

So here I am, 8 Months later. Happy.
In the last 8 Months I have travelled to three different Countries.
Planned and Booked some BIG upcoming adventures. – I’m armed with e-Tickets and the countdown on my phone is set.

It doesn’t mean there isn’t time for small adventures in between….

Welcome to my Little Wanderlust Stories.

  1. hey there and thank you for your information – I’ve
definitely picked up something new from right here.
I did however expertise several technical points using this web site,
as I experienced to reload the site many times previous to I could
get it to load properly. I had been wondering if your web host
is OK? Not that I am complaining, but slow loading
instances times will sometimes affect your placement in google and can damage
your quality score if advertising and marketing with Adwords.
Anyway I’m adding this RSS to my email and can look out
for much more of your respective intriguing content.
Ensure that you update this again soon.
